If your desired diamond is under one carat, you can drop to an SI2 clarity if need be. A brilliant cut that’s under 1.5 carats will still be good quality in colors L-M if it is set in yellow-gold metal. If you are worried about the size the most, consider a “fair” cut in round or fancy shapes.
