Is My Tiffany and Co. Bracelet Real?

With all of the designer knock-offs these days, it isn’t surprising that you may ask if your Tiffany bracelet is real. Because original Tiffany & Co. jewelry is not cheap, you will want to make sure you are paying top dollar for the original. Fortunately, there are some tell-tale signs that will help teach you how to tell the difference between real and a good imitation.

Is My Tiffany & Co. Bracelet Real or a Fake?

Tiffany & Co. is a famous, high-end jewelry store where most women love to shop–and love to receive gifts from. Because their jewelry is in high demand and fairly expensive, Tiffany imitation jewelry is very popular and affordable. Just like with designer clothing, handbags and shoes, some may not want to pay full price for the real thing and opt for a more affordable imitation.

To determine if your Tiffany bracelet is real, take a moment to look at the following tips from our team of experts:

Tiffany & Co. Bracelet Packaging

The trademark small, light turquoise blue box with a white satin ribbon is what makes the Tiffany packaging stand out. Inside the blue box, the jewelry will be inside a light blue pouch (either a snap closure or drawstring). A larger square drawstring bag is provided upon checkout. If your bracelet comes in anything other than this packaging, it very well may be an imitation.

Tiffany & Co. Bracelet Prices

Prices for original Tiffany & Co. bracelets start at $150. Unlike many other retail jewelry stores, they do not offer discounts, promotional sales, or outlet stores. Unless you are buying a used Tiffany bracelet (with proof of purchase), expect to pay a premium.

Tiffany jewelry is manufactured in the United States and is of the highest quality in its genre. There will never be “Made in China” stamps on the jewelry.

Tiffany & Co. Bracelet Quality

Tiffany bracelet links are professionally soldered together to create a
seamless, smooth loop. Cheap imitations will have a visible connection where one could pry open the link.

Tiffany & Co. Bracelet Metal

Tiffany bracelets are generally made of the high quality 925 or .925 sterling silver. The bracelet will have a substantial, heavy feel when compared to other generic or average quality sterling silver bracelets. The gold will have a 750 stamp on it.

Tiffany & Co. Bracelet Stamps/Engraving

Every piece of jewelry, whether it be an engagement ring, cuff links or a bracelet will have the signature Tiffany & Co. stamp on the metal. It will have very precise, crisp and clean lines.

Final Thoughts On A Tiffany & Co. Bracelet

A Tiffany & Co. bracelet is a cherished and time-honored gift that any woman would love to wear. If you are wondering whether or not your bracelet is real, the easiest way to check is to go into a Tiffany & Co. store to have it inspected. If it is real, they will be able to easily tell, as they only use the finest metals, engravings and workmanship. Both the internet and street vendors in fashion districts in large cities are notorious for selling Tiffany fakes. If buying a pre-owned piece of jewelry online, always ask for proof of purchase.

I received a gift of a gold Tiffany bangle bracelet with 10 small round diamond placed on it at separate places. Inside the bracelet is
Tiffany & Co. 750 PT950. I would appreciate knowing what these numbers mean. Bracelet is very heavy and came in a black velvet box
With Tiffany & Co. letters on the inside top of box in gold letters. I always though Tiffany fine pieces game in turquoise box with white ribbon. The small diamonds are placed on the top of bracelet in a pattern shape of one one down one up and repeated until all 10 stones were used.
